The family of the late Hall of Fame trainer, Bill Wise has announced that plans are being made for a Celebration Of Life at a later date. The legendary horseman and industry leader passed away this past Friday night at the age of 93. In addition to being the founder of the ASHBA Sweepstakes, Wise was also on the ground floor of the founding of the UPHA Classics program. A trainer of numerous world’s champions he was best known for his 1973 and ’74 Five-Gaited World’s Champion, Surefire, also known as Four S Surefire.
